Diane Goebes
Diane continues to be a dedicated volunteer after more than 15 years. She is a retired psychologist, having worked in Arlington schools and later in a private clinical practice. She loves the outdoors, and Jug Bay in particular. Diane is a Volunteer naturalist at Jug Bay and a Master Naturalist. She has led school children on many, many field trips. In fact, she usually leads one or two trips a week during the spring and fall--an invaluable help to the education staff. Diane has led many canoe and kayak trips for Jug Bay and for the County. She initiated Jug Bay’s Women on the Water, a program for women who are a bit uncomfortable or inexperienced in canoeing and kayaking the Patuxent River.
